    More electrical problems....urgh [SOLVED]

My blower motor doesn't kick on.

Bench tested the blower motor....its good.

    Checked all fuses....good.

There is no power getting to the blower motor at all....or the resistor.

The resistor has 4 wires. One ground and 3 "speeds" going to it. Nothing on it is getting power.

At the fan speed switch on the dash, there are 6 connectors on it in this order (per FSM):

    --Ground-- --1-- --2-- --3-- --4-- --ignition--

When I check the ignition sore via a volt meter, its getting 12v like it should. However if I hook up a test light to it, the test light doesn't turn on and I hear a relay clicking under the dash.

I guess the way its suppose to work is when you turn on the fan speed switch, it bridges the ignition constant with one of the other 4.

Its not the switch because I swapped the whole HVAC control unit from another 96 Outback that is working...and still have the same issue.

I'm beyond stumped with this. Electrical is my weak point....especially when it comes to diagnosing electrical.

Someone who knows about this please help. I have my dash board torn apart trying to trace wiring.....
