    Rods and Pistons

Scott and I are going to go with new pistons for sure. He's not going to run rods. I'm curious, with my 2011, are rods something I should be considering? I don't know what the stock rods are good to, or if there's any other benefit to running with aftermarkets..

And just in case others have questions that go along with this topic, post your favorites for rods and pistons and why!

Ive seen stock rod handle as much as 500 whp and snap in half with only 350. It's a crap shoot really. Typically I would never recommend a stock rod for anything over 400whp.

If you plan on making up to 500whp then H beam or H+ beam will suffice but for real piece of mind and/or protection against hard knock and/or power over 500whp you should go with I beams. TurboTuff is good, Corillo and Pauter are awesome. FWIW just about any H beam rod except Arrow, Corillo, Wossner are the Chinese rods rebranded.
