Correct...Pop the hood and try listening. I believe one of the tricks were to spray down your hoses with soapy water and watch for bubbles, also check to see that everything is on tight and correctly.
Alittle more detail for this though, some leaks can be heard, but you will have to try to pin point it, this you may do easily or it may seem to not work out. The soapy water method is a way to test it, just make sure not to be spraying all over the place. Do small spots at a time. I would start around the flange to the Bypass Valve then start working each hose. Do each end first then run the length of the hose. Possible that something rubbed a hole in one.
