i only plan on having this car for a few years and then upgrading to a wrx so i don't wana dump a boat load of money into it
so my car tripped a code for to lean , also i saw the performance loss tomorrow i'm putting a hybrid in and just selling the cone to some one
hybrid done
That setup should treat you a little better then the cone filter.
apparently if i use the stock maf housing and exhaust piping i can use the cone with no repercussions
but i love that roar of the cone can't get that from the hybrid
plus everythign is a tight fit that hybrid wants to rip off every time i gun it
Cone filters on Subarus are almost always a bad idea.
The only luck I have ever had with a cone filter on a Subaru was on a turbo using speed density tuning (no MAF).
a guy at advance auto parts who went to uti and built cars says it shouldn't have any problems as long as i build it right and secure it right and that he could do parts to gain 35hp with out even having to touch the computer
