I have a gen 1 BJ wagon FWD and am looking into brake upgrades but i was wondering whether the rear spindles on fwd are any different than AWD other than the obvious axles

Hmmm wheres John??
Yea IKR
Here I am!
The spindles are different. You need AWD ones. You can get them from any 1st, 2nd, or 3rd generation Legacy. As well as any Impreza or WRX up to 2008....and the 04 STI (only 04 though)
i appreciate the help. i figured i would have to wait for brakes till after i get the AWD conversion done but this just proves my suspicions
No problem bro. an AWD conversion will be easy to find at a junk yard.
The only thing you have to make sure of is that you match the transmission and rear diff together (matching final drive ratios).
When you're ready to do it, I can look at some local parts for you. I can usually get pretty good deals locally. I bought my transmission for $90 lol
Two words... well three technically.
Pick n Pull !!!
thats two words and a letter
yea thanks john. i was hoping to find a decent donor car but have come up empty handed so far
I know of several over here for when you're ready
