what is the difference in brake rotors?

what is the difference between drilled and slotted rotors and just drilled or just slotted rotors?

Im not an expert, but...

Drilled allows heat to dissipate easier and saves a slight bit of rotational weight.

Slotted allows gasses from hot brakes to escape to help reduce brake fade during heavy or continuous braking.

Having both is basically best of both worlds. Plus they look good

They are pointless for most cars though. I would honestly say less than 10% of "tuners" out there truley need them.

its currently stock for an 04 wrx if that helps. i dont know anything other than that...
