Power Stop Brake kit For 2nd Gen Legacys

I recently purchased a full front and rear kit for my 98 Legacy Outback.

Power Stop Brake Kit. Drilled and Slotted Rotors with Ceramic Pads.

I paid $299.95 with free shipping. Took about 10 days to get them but the boxes are pretty heavy so free shipping that takes a little while I can deal with.

Installation was a breeze, took me longer to get the wheels (and my rusty old stubborn rotors) off than installing the new rotors and pads.

Break in procedures are written on the paperwork included in the boxes, but it goes like this.

5 moderate to aggressive stop from 45-5 MPH without coming to complete stop, back to back without letting brake system to cool. You WILL smell burning brakes, its ok... really it is.

5 more moderate stops from 40-5 MPH without coming to complete stop, but this time allowing the brakes to cool after each braking cycle.

Personal experience: I just finished installing and breaking them in an hour ago. So far, HUGE difference!!! I have slight squishy pedal movement due to some air in the lines to an unrelated brake line failure on a road trip a few months ago, and even with that the pedal feel is VASTLY improved. So much so that just pushing moderately hard from 40, I locked up and initiated the ABS to kick in. Impressive considering my tires were fairly warm at this point and they are 245/45-17 Dunlop Star Specs!

I cant wait to finish breaking them in so that I can do a hard stomp from highway speeds to test braking distance, till then Ill just say you cant go wrong with this kit.
