Where do I find pistons, rods, bearings, ect...?

I just got a line on an EJ255 that I will be basically build from the ground up. I want to explore options with different pistons, rods, bearings, everything.

Power goals are (eventually) 300-400HP but thats down the road a bit. Budget is LESS than $2500 including ECU, harness spliced, heads, gaskets the works.

Let me know what you guys think and toss out some suggestions!

When I wrote this I was planning on rebuilding that rod knock EJ255 into a 257. Now Ive got a complete EJ257 with both OEM 99.5 pistons and I bought Mehle forged pistons which are (hopefully) on their way!

Now I just need ACL bearings.

All that (the crank, rods, two sets of pistons, block halves and a tub full of goodies including a cosworth oil pump) for less than $900!

Standard size or are you needing these for undersized crank?? Looking for extra oil clearance or no??

ACL offers the standard size bearing as well as a standard size bearing with an extra +0.001" oil clearance over a STD sized bearing.
