Why was oil dumped into your exhaust?

The guy I bought the exhaust off of blew up his motor cracked piston 4 and continued to drive on it he was adding a quart of oil almost every day. When we took the exhaust off oil sludge just dumped straight out of it.

The exhaust is an invidia n1 race.

I think this is why the exhaust is not as loud as its supposed just a theory I'm not sure if it will make a difference or not. But an invidia n1 race with cat less down pipe should be loud and this is not

Oh. Okay. I thought you meant someone literally dumped oil in the exhaust on purpose... I'm not really sure of any good ways to clean that out other than what you're trying. I suppose you could try to burn it out with gasoline. Or perhaps use acetone or something.

Just dump acetone into it ? I have a gallon of that I could try it

Oil in the converters will destroy them.

im completely catless and have no resonator just a muffler. so that wouldnt apply ?

Nope. Wouldn't apply. And yeah, just dump the acetone into it and let is sit for a while. Then, dump it out and see if that helps.
