    Front VS. Rear Struts

    Merry Christmas, Y'all.

I bought a stock '06 Impreza 2.5i for a song and knew it needed some TLC, but when I took it to the shop, it was discovered that the kids I bought it from decided to take this un-modded car off-roading and ruined plenty underneath.

I'm looking to replace the struts, both front, and rear, and most say "wagon" or don't discern front from the rear.

Are the struts for the sedan vs. wagon the same and are the front and rear struts identical?

What struts are on the car now?

    Thank you and Merry Christmas,

Sorry for the long delay in responding to this.

    It's been a tough year.

I was able to get my answers for the above, but now I have another question.

Are the left and right ones identical or more to the point for the front struts?

Could I use a right strut on the left side?

I haven't been able to find a difference between the two.

I'm looking at Excel-G and KYB.

They should be the same for each side.

    No difference.

    God bless,
