This thread may get contraversial but here is my 2 cents....

They both have features and flaws.

Mechanical gauges use nylon tubing and such that could fail which will cause oil/fluids to leak into your interior making a mess.

Electronic gauges use a sensor that sends signals throught the wiring to the gauges, so if the sensor fails gauge doesnt read properly.

+1 for electronic gauges. Never was a fan of oil dripping onto my shoes...

For applications like this, I completely agree that electronic gauges are definitly better! Not to mention with today's technology they have these very dependable. Some believe however that for full out race cars it is good to have mechanical because it is the actual fluid working the gauge. not electronic signal.

For most applications like pressures and boost I go mechanical tho like previously stated the nylon tubing wears out which is why I get a copper tubing kit from my local advance auto parts. For temp and such I go electronic.

Thank you all so much for the info.
Anyone have pics of their gauges?

There are a few different brands out there I have been thinking about Pro-sport, but the Defi are also nice.
