    Now I see why. I didn't originally get those because of the spoke design on the front of the sub. But comparing them to the JL 10"s, the coil is not only a thicker diameter wire, but also coiled more times around. Also, the magnet is significantly more powerful. All of which amplifies the strength of the electromotive force
    And they can take about 100W less each. My system's equalizer and amplifier settings are about 1/3 of what they were with the JL subs and these Kickers....boy howdy do they thump!

    A civic will shake apart if I kick it...

    I'm not a fan of kickers. Kenwood 12" W30's all the way. Those plus a kenwood 9104 amp will cause a civic to disintegrate lol.
