New to owning a turbocharged Subie

Hello! I recently upgraded from an 06 Legacy wagon to an 05 GT sedan. I've read you have to check the oil, as the turbos will burn it. I checked, and I was down. I put in almost a quart. When I checked the oil again, it was over the fill line. Is that a problem? I would say its about an 1/8" over. I know this may seem like a silly question, but I love my car and want no harm to come to it. Thanks in advance for any responses!!
I shall activate the Turbo Boost!

    What oil are you running?

When you checked it the first time, had you JUST shut the engine off, or recently? That can make a huge difference in your dipstick level.

    In order:

1- Whatever the Subie dealer used for my oil change. I added Castrol GTX Full Synthetic.
2- I checked it the next morning, after it sat all night. I added it the next morning, again after it sat all night. So I overfilled it just a bit.
It seems to be running fine, but I wanted to be sure. That's why I'm asking, because I consider you all better experts.
I shall activate the Turbo Boost!

Is it better to use 93 octane or is 91 just as good?

The slight little bit you overfilled it should not hurt anything, you just don't want to go overboard. Far as octane goes you will be fine on 91, but 93 will treat you slightly better.

    Congrats on the GT!
You are going to love it and I bet the mod bug has bite you.

I am glad to hear the 93 is okay.
I've been told my 05 WRX can take 91 but I have been putting in 93 for 7 years.

Well be lucky that you HAVE 93. Here in Cali it's 91, E85, or race gas

I never really thought about it but Cali does seem like a Plug in green state.
At least they do have 91.
You know I wonder what STi owners do down there.
