    A brief walk-through from July 22, 2011 until now:

    Day I bought her:

First try with the Hella 500s:

And got them right the second time:

    The new tail lights:

New radio with new wood grain surround:

All interior lighting and gauge/hvac conversion:

    And my (first) JDM Grille:

    New Headlights:

    Current JDM grille installed:

And since I know MRLancaster is on here, here is an old photo of us chilling at a meet together:

    Japanese Momo Wheel:

    New exhaust and B4 badging:

    Cleared corner lights:

    Spoiler installed:

    Turbo Hood:

    My 9 month comparison photo:

And as I sit now. Photo taken at a meet in RI. The white car is the owner of SL-I (Reason), the blue car is a S401 (basically a twin turbo STI, only 286 made, owned by YamazakiSubaru), and of course, I am the silver car.

And for those who had no clue where I was going with the eyelid idea, this is the look I'd like to one day replicate:

For those not very well versed in the Legacy scene, that is a D type front end from a Legacy RSK, 2001 or 2002. This particular car features an S401 scoop, which is impossible to get without proof of ownership, and even then, it costs and arm and a leg. Everything else about the car is fairly common (incredibly expensive, even in Japan, but common).

Thanks! I can't guarantee much progress in the coming months though. Saving up for an engine swap on top of an already low college income is going to make for some slow progress with the car.

Also, new headlights on the way. Of the HID variety. No, I'm not some jerk who puts HIDs in halogen reflectors (which is NOT ok). I bought the "HID from factory" headlights (aka JDM headlights with reflectors made for HIDs), complete with a little electronic switch that allows me to adjust their aim from my driver's seat. A little switch with 10 incremental settings between low and high aim. It's the little things that count.

Just for fun, here is the switch. I don't know if you Impreza guys have these or not (I'm not very good with Imprezas, but I know you guys have some cool stuff like intercooler sprayers), so this is my show and tell. The switch is 0-5 in half step increments. I'll post a video after I get it hooked up. I just need two more connectors to get them working.

A preview of my current project, expect to see it in my car hopefully by the end of October.
