None of your responses directly answer my question about me sitting in the back opening beers for us, er, I mean me. :)
I'll let you use my CDI torque wrench.

Wow! Should be sick as hell! The only thing that would make it better is if it was a BC w/EJ22T. JK! You guys are awesome and GL! Where are pics? Without pics this thread is worthless. :)
Can I...
I found a discontinued OEM SUBARU turbo inlet elbow for my SS! Brand new, never used, still in the plastic wrap! It's getting shipped tomorrow. I hope that I am not dreaming and that it will really...
Oh ****, wait until I get my EJ22T into my white second gen wagon, lol. Love the wagons! I have a black SS to balance things out, lol. Both are old school sleepers.
Happy birthday youngin'!
I am lucky! I have the full FSM!
I didn't need any washers for the engine stand. I used the tranny mounting bolts and luckily didn't need any washers.
I labeled every single hose/harness...
Got the EJ22T in the SS stripped down today, except for a super stubborn cam sprocket bolt, lol. I hope to get it off tomorrow.
I'm going to scrub her clean tomorrow. I am so psyched to get her...
Dudes, I finally plucked my EJ22T out of my SS today!!! One of my proudest moments, actually. Not bad for a noob.
Well, she slid right out with no prying necessary! I undid the last upper transmission bolt and she just popped right off! :)
Thanks. I think pulling a turbo motor the first time is a bit more complicated than pulling a N/A. I was looking under the hood of my second gen with an EJ22E and it looks so damn simple. I can see...
What did you do? Just grind down the tip so it was thin? I would imagine if you ground the tip really thin it would just break off. Was it a wide screwdriver? I'll be back at it on the SS on Tuesday....
I posted about the screwdriver method on the LGT forum, and I had two guys I trust say "Don't do it!", lol.
Good to know I won't screw it up with the screwdriver, though.
I'm sure the HG installation will be pretty easy. It has been getting the engine out that has been difficult, being my first time. A lot of labeling, pics, rusty stubborn bolts, etc. I will be so...
This whole HG replacement is wearing me down since I am a noob. So tired, need more beer. Need more PB blaster. I hope I don't need any more sockets or tools. I am broke.
Thanks for the advice.
Instead of a screwdriver, if need be I am going to try a 6" putty knife first. Hopefully I can just jack the engine up far enough and wiggle it loose.
I like bug eyes. Why are there so much bug eye haters out there? I'm not saying there is bug eye hate going on here, but I have seen it in other places.
I know that you subie experts can pull an engine in two hours, but I am already into it two days. Taking my time.
I checked out the FSM, soaked the four transmission bolts in PB Blaster all...
Awesome! Thanks bubba.
Get well soon nick!
And I like to get you kids all riled up about EJ22Ts. I'm glad that we are all rescuing them from getting melted down into cans of RedBull.
Hopefully I will have one of my...
Cool! This is good info.
I bought this thingy for $40 today you can clip on to the cherry picker. It has a crank that allows you to adjust the center of gravity of the block. It is basically a...
Maybe after I fix my blown HGs on my SS, get an alignment on my second gen, finish the body work and paint on the SS and second gen, build up my spare EJ22T, I can scrape up a few pennies, lol....
I looked at the FAQ and clicked on the 'edit profile pic' link but I don't have permission? What the hell kind of site is this if I have to have special privileges to post a profile pic? Whose TMIC...
You guys drink too much and eat too much tuna. A tuna diet? WTF? Did Oprah come up with that ****?
Gonna pluck one one my EJ22Ts tomorrow. How many EJ22Ts do you have, lol. Old school subies FTW!...
Title says it all (almost). It's my first time doing it. Don't want to drop my EJ22T on my toes.
I have an engine hoist and have an engine stand to put it on. I just want some more info as to what...
So when I bolt the engine on to the stand arms, the stand arms bolt right where the transmission bolts on? How tight should I go? Do I need washers?
